Stovetop popcorn with Chooki's Zest Chicken Salt. Takes ten minutes, costs almost nothing, and tastes better than anything you'd get at the movies. The zesty citrus flavour cuts through the butteriness and makes it genuinely hard to stop eating.

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or coconut oil)
  • 2 teaspoons Chooki's Zest Chicken Salt
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or olive oil

Step 1: Pop

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Drop in 3 test kernels and put the lid on. Once they pop, add the rest of the kernels in an even layer. Keep the lid on but slightly ajar so steam escapes. Shake the pot every few seconds. When the popping slows to a couple of seconds between pops, pull it off the heat.

Step 2: Season

Tip the popcorn into a big bowl. Drizzle over the melted butter or olive oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle on the Chooki's Zest Chicken Salt and toss again. The oil helps the seasoning stick.

Step 3: Serve

Eat it straight away while it's warm and crispy. That's the whole recipe.

Tip: Use olive oil instead of butter to keep it vegan. Tastes just as good and the Zest flavour still comes through loud and clear.
