Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
- Slice the chicken breast into tender-sized strips and pat them dry with paper towels.
2. Create the Coating:
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the plain flour, Chooki’s Original Chicken Salt, and cracked black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs and milk until combined.
- In a third bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs.
3. Coat the Chicken:
- Dip each chicken strip into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Press gently to make sure the crumbs stick.
4. Cook the Tenders:
For Oven: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper, place the coated tenders on the tray, and lightly spray with olive oil. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
For Air Fryer: Place the tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 180°C (360°F) for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
5. Make the Sweet Chilli Sauce:
- In a small saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, sugar, garlic, and chopped chillies. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then slowly pour it into the saucepan. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
6. Serve:
- Serve the crispy tenders hot with a side of sweet chilli sauce for dipping.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if you’re feeling fancy, and watch them disappear faster than you can say “Chooki’s Chicken Salt!”
